This time, folks at the ALEC (A Long-Expected Contest) site liked my entry well enough that I won 3rd Place with it in the General category. The theme for the October ALEC was "Death and Dead Things." And now, without further ado...

Thanks to the online writer's workshops I belong to, I have learned a nifty new HTML trick. From now on, all Elvish/Sindarin/Quenya terms, italicized or not, will be mouse-able to give an on-the-spot translation.
