Taking a step up

aearwenWell, that writer's group isn't on YaHell - and it is an absolutely delightful group of people who know what the heck they're about. I have a serious notion that I'm going to be learning a lot about the art of writing now, and that when I look back at these first offerings, I'm gonna be wishing I could hide my head.
Life-wise, everything is SOS-DD. We made it through an absolutely scorcer of a heat-wave - spent 4 days in treble digits when we normally don't get much hotter than 75 Farenheit. Our fog is back, which is the reason why we're back to our lovely weather-wimpy temps. I just about died, my hubby was miserable, and even my cat wasn't speaking to anybody. This part of the country should NEVER get that hot!!!
Youngest boy & his fiancee have moved back their wedding date (yet again) to February, but the plans they're putting together now are far more reasonable and realistic. Puppy with broken front leg managed to pull her cast off - ended up costing them another hefty vet bill to get it put back on again. Not certain if leg broke again or not, and haven't had the brains to remember to ask when they're about.
